THE TINKERBILLYS

Character History: These I did not create. Anyone paying attention in Talent Search will know this is Jetta's old group - but all we ever see of them is the sign outside the club and them fleeing the stage as the crowd boo them. For the purpose of my stories, I created four characters with somewhat stupid names - but the original band idea is Christy Marx's creation. Though grammatically many have argued that it should be "Tinkerbillies", the animation shows "Tinkerbillys", and so that is what I have stuck with. In my appraisal of them, correct spelling doesn't seem likely to be a high priority...

Story Appearances: Fresh Blood, England's Rose.

Character Profiles:
ALLIE (Alison Blackwell)

Psychotically possessive and jealous of her boyfriend, the band's leader Snake, Allie is quick to hate Jetta, since she can tell from the start that Snake is more than a little taken with the sax player. However, despite often starting spats with her foe, she rarely wins them. She has little or no musical talent and is also something of a snob, coming from a higher echelon of society than Jetta and never letting the other girl forget it. She revels in the fact that Jetta's brother is in jail, and delights in tormenting her on the subject.

SNAKE (Peter Dupre)
Bad tempered and with a confrontational temper, it's more than possible Snake's bad attitude is rooted in the high pitched whining of his girlfriend. He has a major crush on Jetta, which he has never acted on because he doesn't date girls who are smarter than him. A mediocre musician, Snake's organisation is somewhat better, and he holds the band together...somehow.

BONGO (Giles Drummond)
The Tinkerbillys drummer, Bongo is laid back, placid and rather round around the middle. He's none too bright but completely un-antagonistic, and finds the Allie-Jetta banter goes right past him on most occasions. His musical ability is fairly questionable, but he's a harmless soul in himself. He has a nasty habit of referring to girls by anything other than their names - usually because he can't remember them. On their one meeting, he is very taken with Stormer.

JERRY (Gerald Moore)
If Jerry was any more laid back, he'd be literally horizantal. Much the human incarnation of Dylan from The Magic Roundabout, Jerry drifts through life in a peace haze, turning up to plunk keys for the band from time to time. He has spent a lot of time bumming around the world, and has friends in a club in America which gets the Tinkerbillys to their Los Angeles tour date in the first place, changing Jetta's life forever.

The Boring Disclaimer:
The Misfits were created by Hasbro and given life by Christy Marx and the writers of the Jem series. However, the events, concepts and plotline contained in this story is my own and may not be duplicated. Justin, Gianina and any character not featured in the Jem cartoon are entirely my creation and are also not to be duplicated anywhere else.
