Synopsis: The Misfits are top of the charts and Jem and the Holograms are nowhere to be found. Reason? Jerrica is having an identity crisis and is jealous of her own alternative identity. Though she tries to get up the courage to tell Rio the truth she chickens out when he jaws Kimber out for dishonesty. However, sparked by the Misfits' taunts, Jem and the Holograms stage something of a comeback with a whole new 'Glitter and Gold' look, in order to enter the Glitter and Gold contest to see who can sell half a million albums first. Guess who wins? :P.  This episode is also the only one to show Clash (brief as her part is) looking pretty much as they made her, with long purple hair (see capture below). I don't know for sure, but I'd lay odds that this episode was the first one of the second year, since the dolls' outfits are BLATANT advertising - the characters wear MOST of the second year and rerelease first year outfits during the course of it. Look out for Shana and Roxy having lines of their own in the duet song!
