Name: Kimber 01 Edition: First Country Of Origin: United States Made in: Hong Kong Comments: This First Edition Kimber
came to me from America with her original outfit in poor
condition. Her makeup is fairly dark, without making her
look satanic :P And she has very long red hair. Kimber has
several varying shades of hair colour - if you collect or
know about My Little Pony, she has Skyflier red hair, and
most of the other Kimber dolls I've had through here have
had hair to match her colour. Her face is fairly narrow.

Name: Kimber 02 Edition: First Country Of Origin: United States Made in: Country: Hong Kong Comments: This is the palest first edition Kimber I have ever seen in terms of makeup. It's not quite as pale as my English bought second edition, but it's close. My assumption is that this version of Kimber is the end of the first year's run. She came to me complete from America in her original outfit. Though her makeup is deceptively second edition-ish, she has no earring holes or any evidence of being anything other than a genuine first. Her hair is a slightly darker and more vivid shade of red than 01, and her face is somewhat wider. |
 Name: Kimber 03 Edition: First Country Of Origin: United States Made in: Hong Kong Comments: This is another version of First Edition Kimber. Her shades of makeup and hair fit somewhere between #1 and #2 (Helpful, huh?:P) and her face is quite obviously wider than the other two first edition dolls we have. Like the other two she has a side parting. She came from America. The back of her head reads HASBRO INC in a raised block, and her back says c. 1985 Hasbro Inc Hong Kong. |
 Name: Kimber 04 Edition: First Country Of Origin: United States Made in: Not Given Comments: This version of First Edition Kimber is the one I most commonly associate with Europe. She has dark makeup, ball wrists and her back shows no country of manufacture, only the Hasbro stamp. Her head reads 'K Hasbro Inc'. It has to be said that she's not incredibly attractive...actually she's kinda scary. Her lips are very full, and her eyes, tho the pic doesn't show it too great, are almost green in colour. Her hair lacks the shape of 02 and 03, and her haircolour matches 01. |
 Name: Kimber 05 Edition: First Country Of Origin: United Kingdom Made in: Not Given Comments: Much like 04 in her design, although this Kimber has much lighter makeup. Not all ballwristed Kimber dolls look demonic ;) She also has no stamp of country of manufacture on her back, just like 04. |
 Name: Shana 06 Edition: First Country Of Origin: Canada Made in: China Comments: I'm including this Kimber on my page after careful deliberation. Her back is stamped c 1985 Hasbro Inc China, but whether or not she is a genuine Chinese Kimber or not I can't be sure, since there is some damage to her body and it's just possible that she is a put together job of some sort. I got her in a lot of jem dolls nude from Canada. |
 Name: Kimber 07 Edition: Second Country Of Origin: United Kingdom Made in: China Comments: This is a Second Edition Kimber, and she was found in the UK, nude, sadly, at a toy fair some years ago. Observant ones of you will have noticed that her hair is exceptionally dark for a second edition Kimber. She has no pink streaks in her hair, and the colour red is darker just slightly than all of our other Kimber dolls. She is a proven second edition because she still has the plugs of plastic in her head which would have held her hairtie in place, and also has earring holes. Her makeup is very pale, slightly paler than the palest first edition Kimber (#2) but not quite as pale as my more normal Second Kimber (#8) The back of her head reads HASBRO INC in a raised block, and her back says c. 1985 Hasbro Inc China. |
 Name: Kimber 08 Edition: Second Country Of Origin: Canada Made in: China Comments: This for most people is probably more normally what you think of when you say Second Edition Kimber. She has pink streaks in her hair (the same shade of pink as Danse and Raya's pink sections) alongside the same shade of red as Kimber #1, giving her hair an overall pinkier look. She came to me complete with all of her original outfit so I have no doubts at all about her edition - her headband is still fixed, her earrings are still in and you just gotta look at her to know. Of all of the Kimbers we have, she has the palest makeup, particularly the pink above the eye. She has a kinda dreamy expression on her face.  Name: Kimber 09 Edition: First Country Of Origin: United Kingdom Made in: Hong Kong Comments: This is another example of a British sold Kimber (boy, do we have some ugly first edition Kimbers in this country!). However, this one is different from 04 and 05 in that she has a place of manufacture - she is Made In Hong Kong. (Most Kimber dolls are.) She has the spiky hairstyle and dark makeup associated with both European and superstar dolls too, plus the K Hasbro Inc print on the back of her head. She came to me in her original top and trousers, and this is kinda interesting in itself....for her jacket has silver and not pink ruffles. |
