The My Little Pony Song Tape
In 1985, Hasbro released a pony song LP via a horseshoe points offer. This was evidently a successful venture, since it was repeated later in cassette form. I refer to it here as the song tape because that was what I had when I was a small girl of about four - and I confess that I played it so often I used to be able to recite the entire thing from memory.
The correct title is really "Seven songs and a story" since each song is linked together by a simple story featuring each of the six ponies from the 1985 earth pony set (Known as Groom and Style ponies in the UK). It's Tootsie's birthday, and, bit by bit, they're all off to a birthday party!

I've divided the song tape into eight sections, and each song has a bit of story attached to it. This tape/record is EXTREMELY hard to find and rarely appears on ebay, since it has not been in circulation since 1986. Yes, the songs are corny and the lyrics kinda cheesy...but the whole thing is steeped in nostalgia and that innocence you have when you're four years old and My Little Ponies are as real to you as the dog down the street.
So, without further ado, I give you the My Little Pony song tape. Please note, each file is ZIPPED.

My song tape is very old, and has been played many times. The songs are NOT in perfect quality, though they are clearly audible and you can definitely hear the words for the narrative and each song in turn. Posey's Song is the least clear (and biggest file), because my tape got slightly, um, mangled there once in the distant past :)
