E.m.u: cd releases

The Memorial Box Set

These are confusing to the point of me not even trying to list them comprehensively. The simple reason for this is because I have all the E.M.U releases...but for the most part they're on the Memorial Disk set (pictured above) and that is the format in which I have them. Most all of the album release songs plus a few that weren't appear on this. So if you want a good E.M.U thing to chase down - that would be it. In terms of individual albums, if my memory serves me correctly, the first release was "Girl" (which is basically the tracklist of the First Live minus the American Medley), and there were live CDs released for both the First Live and the Equal Live (I've seen this one more often on the second hand market, but I have live tracks for all of the concert stuff on the Memorial Disks). The later albums I'm not sure about...I know there was one which has a lot of scary remixes on (really, really scary remixes), one called "Smile a Go Go" and one called "Best" but which tracks were on what I don't remember.

Dear Friend, Bokutachi no Sedai Kara, Tsuitenai, Party all featured only in live concert form until the Memorial Box Set when they were studio recorded and added to the final result.

The Memorial Box Set also features a greeting message from the boys thanking the fans for their support etc (I'm still slightly creeped out by Hayashi Nobutoshi introducing himself as the "former" Hayashi Nobutoshi, now Kanna Nobutoshi").

Please remember however that Sotsugyou M music counts as separate from E.M.U music. One Sotsugyou-connected song appears on the Memorial Box because it was released as the group's final single - Oretachi no Sotsugyou. These are credited to the M Characters even on my DVD box set. And as for the rest of the Sotsugyou music...Sotsugyou M is not automatically E.M.U music (even though it's the same guys...sigh).

So...yep...the bulk of those songs are not on the Memorial Box set. See the Sotsugyou music page for more on this!
