other characters: friends and miscel

Name: 川添遥 Kawazoe Haruka:
A former student of the Seiryuu Academy, in his final year Kawazoe was captain of the Photography club and vice-captain of the School Council at the same time. He also won Photography competitions. Kawazoe didn't graduate school - instead he went to Africa to trace his birth father before he reached his final exams, giving up a position at a prestigious university in the process. However, he is not a repeat student like Kusanagi - instead he is working on his own steam to become a professional photographer and consequently does a lot of travelling. He and Arai had an undefined relationship which even now is unresolved, but which is decidedly beyond the bounds of friendship. In the novels, Kawazoe also has a fiancee, but I haven't read enough to know much about that as yet...Like Takagi, he is mixed race - though Kawazoe's father is American, not English like Takagi's mother. Kawazoe is also a heavy smoker, and is rarely seen without a cigarette in hand or mouth (although he doesn't seem to smoke in flashbacks). Although the picture to the left shows him with dark hair, he is usually given blond hair in the manga, and he is often mistaken at a distance for being Takagi because of their apparently similar westernised looks. (So I don't know why the drama CD sleeve showed him with dark hair!). The picture to the right is his more normal portrayal, although the official Sotsugyou M website shows him with red hair.
Seiyuu: Shiozawa Kaneto

Name: ヒロシ Hiroshi (Drama CD, Hiroyuki):
Takagi's former band mate and leader of Cassandra (Drama CD Cassandra Next). In the manga, they have a falling out over the use of the song Labyrinth whilst in the Drama CD there is some tension over Hiroyuki's woman who seems to be attracted to Takagi.
He also appears as the Dark Wizard in the Tooki Tabidachi CD. Erm. Enough said there, I think...

Name: 由佳 Yuka (Drama CD, Rika): Cassandra (Cassandra Next)'s manager and Hiroshi (Hiroyuki)'s partner.

Name: 鶯谷雪乃丞 Uguisudani Yukinojou: the head of the Drama Club. He appears in one chapter of the manga (at Takagi's birthday party) and plays a significant role in the OVA. A guy who's very focused on his art, even if it means colluding with Kusanagi's peculiar ideas.

(Please note that, although the website lists Morikawa Toshiyuki as Uguisudani's seiyuu, that is actually incorrect since Morikawa Toshiyuki voiced Mikagekouji Kasumi. The site just has the two reversed!)
Seiyuu: Miki Shinichirou (OVA only)

Name: 成瀬麻由美 Naruse Mayumi: A girl whose life Yuusuke saves from drowning when the boys are by the sea. They date for a while, until Yuusuke puts his great big foot in it ^_^.

Name: 漬水先生Shimizu-sensei: (In the drama CD, Mizutani-sensei): The boys' second year teacher in the original manga volumes. A young and often ineffective teacher, it doesn't take much for Arai to reduce her to tears. Yuusuke has a crush on her, although she doesn't realise how much she's messing with his emotions. Shimizu-sensei has a genuinely kind heart but not much ability at keeping class discipline.

Name: 岩崎先生 Iwasaki-sensei: A teacher of Home Economics at the Seiryuu Academy whose grudge against Arai Yoshiki prompted her to enter the school and target his son.

Name: 桜井先生 Sakurai-sensei: The M boys' third year homeroom teacher (担任教師 tannin-kyoushi). Sakurai seems to understand that Nakamoto is under pressure, but is not able to do anything to prevent him from failing, since Nakamoto refuses to confide in him exactly what the problems are. Poor Sakurai has a lot to deal with, considering the boys under his care...^_^ And he especially seems exasperated by Arai (well, understandably!)

Name: 松永 Matsunaga-san: Arai Yoshiki's PA, who appears to have a better friendship with Arai than his father does, since she's always sending him on errands on her behalf. Arai & Matsunaga's friendship began when he was just eight years old when she took him to a restaurant to cheer him up. Matsunaga has a crush on Yoshiki although Arai may be the only other person who knows. A kind-hearted woman, she also has a good friendship with Takagi and worries about his work conflicting with his school obligations. (I'm still looking for a first name for her...it must be here somewhere!)

Name: イザベラ王女(リザ)Princess Isabella "Riza": : The Princess of San Marii (San Marino?) who befriends Takagi without telling him her true identity as she tries to sample as much of normality as she can in a brief interlude between official appearances. Naive to the real world, she speaks no Japanese, only English, and causes Takagi any amount of confusion.

Name: 高原亜紀菜 Takahara Akina: A young girl of fifteen who Arai befriends after helping her escape from Nakamoto's family hospital. Despite her youth, Akina has a slight preoccupation with death, and a desire to do as many things as possible in a short space of time. Arai is particularly drawn to her fire for life and equally confused by her occasionally morbid observations. Akina hides from Arai the fact she has a serious medical condition and Arai only discovers this fact too late - after the girl has already passed away.

Name: 竹原先生 Takehara-sensei / 財前治樹 Zaizen Haruki: These two characters are being listed together because I think they are intended to be the same one (unless the whole of the staff are sexually attracted to Mikimaro, of course, which is another issue completely). In the first volume of the original manga, Mikimaro is assaulted by a teacher called Takehara, who Arai soon lays out. In the novels, he is pursued by the school doctor, Zaizen Haruki, who has a penchant for young boys and - apparently - a past reputation to go with it. Needless to say, Mikimaro is not comfortable with either teacher's attentions...

Name: 蒼稜葵 Souryou Aoi: The vice captain of the Basketball club that Yuusuke is in charge of. A second year, he is often a thorn in Yuusuke's side in one way or another (probably because he's quite a bit smarter...) In the original manga, Aoi even stages a coup at one point, demanding Yuusuke to prove he's still worthy of being the club captain after a team defeat. In the OVA, he has a brief appearance challenging Yuusuke, telling him that he "won't lose to him this time."

Seiyuu: Nojima Kenji

Name: 柴田俊則 Shibata Toshinori: The headmaster of the Seiryuu Academy.

Name: 柴田和馬 Shibata Kazuma: A decidedly dodgy guy who also is the director of Seiryuu Academy and the older brother of Toshinori, the headmaster. A man with a chequered past, he may or may not have been responsible for the death of Kasumi's older brother Takumi - this is still wrop in mystery, but at the very least he and the student had a physical relationship. His interests are now fixed on Takagi, and it is he who discovers and tells Takagi the true identity of his birth father. It is also Kazuma who enables Takagi to gain a place in Los Angeles to study music after graduation.
