This Set MIP Weirdly, this year the Hasbro entry for these ponies names them
firmly under the American set name of 'Big Brother Ponies', instead of Adventure
Boy Ponies of the year before. There is no insert for this year, so I have
no way of knowing for sure whether or not they were actually marketed under
the new name. The new characters were fire pony Chief (Who played a dashing
role in My Little Pony and Friends Comic's version of Return of the Smooze!),
pirate Barnacle (who shared his buried treasure with the baby ponies) and
Native American chief Wigwam, who, I vividly remember, helped the First Tooth Baby Ponies and the members
of Spike's club to have a real Native American
style party in one of the annuals (I think 1990). Three first issue ponies,
Tex, Tug and Tracks made up
the six.
