Mint In Package Ponies: Europe and the UK

This section of the Scrapbook site is intended to assist in one very important part of My Little Pony information - accessories. The only true way to know what accessory a pony was sold with is by checking out what they had brand new in the package, so that is why I am setting up this section of the site. For some time now there have been MIP images on my page, but I wanted to make a proper section of it, to reduce loading times on those pages and to make it easier to manage and navigate.
At present I am only dealing in UK and European packaged ponies. This is because there are dozens of sites out there who deal with US packaged ponies and since this site is devoted to UK My Little Pony, the US packages seem a lot less necessary an inclusion. Perhaps once the UK part of this site is properly up and running, I'll see about adding in some other stuff, but for the time being, here we are. Any US packaged ponies that appear on these pages are only here because for some reason they were also sold in the United Kingdom as "leftover stock". Sets not sold in the UK are currently not included on the link frame - ie you will not find pictures of Glory or Medley Mint on Card here at present.

Ponies in the UK usually have diverse package designs from those in the USA. Sometimes we had cards while America had boxes. Sometimes it was the other way around. Whilst Dutch/Belgian issue ponies tended to follow the design put forward in America (albeit in French and Dutch packaging), those sold in Germany, France, Spain and latterly Italy usually match those in the UK. An exception is the Non So Soft set or "Movie Star Ponies", where the packaging in Holland and Belgium mirrors that in the UK.  Occasionally there is a minor difference, such as box border colour. In the early years Italy also had a style of packaging unique to themselves. Eventually I will look into tackling that, but again, there are other online resources who happily deal with all things Italian.

This section, as you will notice, is far from complete. I have only around twenty UK packaged MIP ponies as it is, and even with the many donated pictures, I have not got one image for every pony sold in the United Kingdom. You can help! If you own a pony MOC that is not already on the site and you believe it is on UK or European card, please get in touch with me! I will always credit all donations and I would much appreciate your help in making this a thorough and complete resource. At the end of the day I want my site to be a comprehensive memory to what My Little Pony was when we were children, so if you can help, PLEASE do!

Where some ponies are concerned, even if I cannot use the image, I have listed the accessories that pony came with. I have ONLY done this if I have an image on my PC hard drive of that pony Mint in Package. These images I *can* send to someone else privately should they ask for them, but I do not have permission to use them on my website, therefore I have not uploaded them. Please be aware that I require photographs for these ponies even if I have the pony's accessories listed.

A huge thank you to everyone who has already helped and to everyone who will help over the coming months. I am indebted to everyone ;) I want to say a particular special thankyou to Lady Guinevere for all the help she's given me especially.

We can do this!
