There are actually six in the first set of earthlings...Cotton Candy and Blossom were reissued from the year before with the new modified hooves. Along with them, however, were four ponies each unusual in their own way, for Bow Tie and Applejack possessed freckles on their cheeks and Seashell and Bubbles not only had a diamond blaze on their foreheads, but also became the only My Little Ponies to be in a sitting pose - presumably because of a difficulty in dressing such ponies in Pony Wear Though on their American cards, the year's unicorns and pegasi were printed, it seems unlikely that their UK cards would have mirrored this, since only the earth ponies from the line were issued in the UK. Applejack and BowTie's immense popularity meant they would appear more than once over the years to come and even be given babies in the U.K issue. |
