Family Friends & Family Babies The Family Friends and Family Babies were a development in some ways of the original Loving Family Babies. Hasbro UK's list also labels them Rainbow Families, though it does not appear that they were ever marketed under this name. This time the parents had identical hair and body colours in such a design that the colours ran horizontally rather than vertically. The Daddy ponies all stood in a feminine pose, and the babies reflected also the same identical colour schemes. Each pony had a different symbol, however. Although featured briefly in TV episodes, these families were often misrepresented in name and/or in the number of members and it was only when they appeared in UK comics that they were given their real names - Sunbright, Berrytown and Meadowsweet. In advertising material Baby Berrytown was shown in the wrong pose. The fathers for these families are among some of the hardest UK/European issue ponies to find.
