GOOD WEATHER, THE HOLIDAY PONY
(Yellow pony with blue mane and tail, orange sun symbol)

Good Weather
(The Holiday Pony)

Prototype: Good Weather Good Weather was a playset pony on the same lines as Sweet Clover and Rosette from a year or two earlier, and, as her name and accessories suggest, she came with the Holiday Playset. Generally labelled as "the Holiday pony", she actually made comic appearances, unlike her two predecessors. She also had a special magic trick in these stories - that wherever she went, the weather would always be fine. Good Weather was issued in the year of the most changeable of Hasbro's photo-inserts - and she was originally advertised as being in Shady's pose, with aqua mane and tail (see left). However, when she was actually sold, she was in Up Up and Away's pose (as above) and no version of her in Shady's pose has ever been found, indicating that this was yet another of Hasbro's bizarre prototype ponies. There was a lot of confusion about her name in the beginning, since the first images and information to surface about her were Spanish, so she is often called "Turista" (her Spanish name). However, in her English speaking edition, she was trademarked as "Good Weather", as the boxed image below will testify. Please note that some accessories are missing from the above picture, though you can see clearly what she has from the below image of Good Weather MIB (Thanks Sel for letting me use this picture!). You can click on the image to view it in larger size :D and see her name!!
