Loving Family Ponies As the Mother and Baby pony ideas of earlier years was beginning to fade, Hasbro hit on the idea of selling complete family sets, consisting of a mother, a father, a baby boy and a baby girl. Each baby pony had a combination of the symbols and the hair colours of Mother and Father. Oddly, and perhaps ironically, the United States only had either a boy or a girl for each family - girls for Bright Bouquet and Apple Delight, and a boy for Sweet Celebrations. The parents can be found made in China, Hong Kong or nowhere at all. The picture to the left shows Mummy Apple Delight on her UK card - thanks to the Delaneys for this image. Picture to the right shows Baby Brother Sweet Celebrations MOC. It was not uncommon for this set to come with Mummy Charms - see the label on Baby Brother's card :D The ponies were sold largely individually, though later were sold in sets of all four, and toys were sold to go specifically with the family babies - Playpen and Duck, Highchair and Rattle and one other which has slipped my mind for the time being.
