Despite all the claims, rumours and whatever else, one thing must be made expressly clear. Regular issue Medley and Firefly were not sold in the United Kingdom, though it's a dim possibility that Italian versions might have crossed the channel in small amounts during the eighties. Medley and Firefly themselves, however, in their original Hong Kong form, appear to be exclusive to the USA and Canada. Both ponies have glittery symbols and stand in the same pose, with an open mouth and bent front hoof. This pose would goout of vogue fairly quickly, but a variation on it would still be reintroduced in the later 1980s. Medley and Firefly would also be reissued the next year :) |
