Playset Ponies
THIS SET MIP
Well, these two ponies are real cuties. I've always found them to be really htf on the second hand market, and it's important to notice that though they were sold across Europe and the UK, they were never sold in North America.
There has been a lot of name bantering for these two girls also. Well, let me put the record straight.
Hasbro's list states 'Prize Day with Rosette Pony' and 'Picnic with Sweet Clover Pony'. Any other name is either of translation from the foreign equivalent (I.e in German Sweet Clover is called Kleeblatt, which I think is Cloverleaf) or is simply made up from nothing.
Sweet Clover (UK) There are two versions of Sweet Clover. The version below is the version which seems to be the easiest to find, and the one which is prevalent on the continent. Oddly she is also the version who appears in the United Kingdom comic advert for the playset, an advert which not only indicates all her accessories but also gives her correct name :) (please note that in the advert Sweet Clover herself is reversed, she is actually in Bow Tie's pose).
The less common version of Sweet Clover is what I call the UK version (left), since I've only found and seen her here, and she is a darker pink to her continental sister. She came with the same accessories as the version shown below, however.
Rosette reminds me of a lion, with her bright orange and gold curls. She never made even the briefest of forays into the My Little Pony comic of the time.
