Rainbow Ponies
WEDDING BELLS MIB
The second group of Rainbow Ponies were a slightly more adventurous variation on an already successful theme. This time the colours were more vibrant, with mane and tail in neon yellow, pink, aqua and coral. The ponies also featured the year's new poses, and had glittered symbols.
None of the second set of Rainbow Ponies were sold in their proper Hong Kong form in the UK, although various weird and wonderful variations on the idea trickled through to the UK from continental Europe. However, Confetti was sold in Britain, Europe and, it appears, Australia in a different pose as part of the 'Wedding Bells' playset.
Like the year before, the ponies came with the rainbow labelled brush and regular comb.
In UK Stories, some of these ponies had distinctive characteristics. Aside from Confetti's wedding pony status, Flutterbye was afraid of spiders, Tickle was often playing tricks, Trickles had a special garden with magic watering cans to water the flowers with, whilst Pinwheel and Starflower had various brands of unicorn magic :)
