Sparkle
Ponies: Store Version And yes, now Hasbro were really getting carried away with plastic
technology! These gals are glitter from start to finish, with tinselled
manes and tails and glitter studded bodies. Wooh, Guy Fawkes all year round!
Twinkler IMO is the prettiest, because she is such a gorgeous purple with
her multicoloured tinsel (multicoloured tinsel ponies rock - observant ones
of you will know Taffeta herself is another
;)) There are also mail order Sparkle Ponies
but they have been given a seperate page and don't concern us here.
The explanation for Sparkle Ponies was something to do with being covered in moondust in some party celebration accident. I dunno. Sky Rocket had the dubious honour of being able to fly on her rockets (dangerous example!). I had her as a kid, and remember being proud that she could fly 'without wings!' Needless to say, the Sparkle Ponies were sold in the UK. In fact somewhere I think I have three of them mint on UK card...must look those out to photo :D |
