The Surprise Twins Pony is an oddity in itself and unsurprisingly a rare
find. She is the only pregnant pony and by way of a spring mechanism (see
left) she 'gives birth' to two tiny twins which I believe are the smallest
little ponies ever made. However, the mechanism easily breaks and the twins
are easily lost. As with all the ponies this year, she was sold in Europe
and the UK, but not in North America. The Bed and Crib set (below), the last UK playset was designed
for this pony.
The twins never were given names by Hasbro, and the only name hinted at for the mother was 'Mummy Pony' or in German 'Mami'. |
