One of the bizarre things about this set is that it fielded a brand
new pose, even though My Little Pony was in it's last year. It's a suggestion
that perhaps Hasbro International did not know at this point that the line
would be terminated, since Baby Lollipop, along with one Jewellery baby and
a dutch variant baby pony would be the only ponies to use this adaptation
of the Baby Unicorn mould.
There has never been much confusion over these girls and their identities, though I just want to highlight the spelling of LIQUORICE (not Licorice, because, as I guess by now is obvious, she's a UK or European pony ;) Equally I have seen them called Candy Babies online, but Sweetie Babies is their proper name. Each Baby came with a hairclip for the new owner to wear in her hair. Baby Lollipop had a pink lollipop clip, Baby Candy a yellow sweeties clip and baby Liquorice a blue allsorts clip, if my memory serves me. Each baby also had a twice as fancy style symbol and bicoloured manes, although their tails were all one colour. They were all earth ponies :) |
