Sweet Kisses Ponies There are similarities and there are differences between the North American and the European/UK issue of Sweet Kisses Ponies. Perhaps the most striking differences involve the style of pony used - the European issue ones (above) had ordinary earth pony moulds, whilst the North American ones (below) were in Sweetheart Sister moulds. How can I call them similar, I hear you ask? Well, this is why. Both the issues of Sweet Kisses Ponies worked in the same way. Each pony had heat sensitive lips which vanished under hot water (or if you kissed them, as the advert went). Then, each pony came with 'lipstick' which, when put under cold water then applied to the pony's mouth brought the 'lips' back again. They were also sold with long handled combs - the kind which in my view every pony should have been sold with, they're fabulous for styling and grooming :D Also, there are other correlations. Every Sweet Kisses pony, regardless of style came with tinselled mane but not tail, and in terms of colour schemes, two of the colour schemes used in North America were duplicated for the ponies in Europe. So see, there really are a lot of similarities! Please note that Kiss and Tell and Kiss and Make Up are wearing their original hair-ribbons in the above pictures.
