Having said this, there is also a version of Milky Way with white stars (left) who was sold in Europe but not America. Both versions were sold from new in the UK. How do I know this? The silver star Milky Way (below) is my own childhood pony, and my best friend as a child had a white star Milky Way from new at the same time :) The insert shows only a drawing, but the stars look faintly grey in that :) In America, Lollipop is called Sweet Tooth and Strawberry Fair is called Sugarberry :) 1987 also had two other TAF ponies issued - Fifi, who came with the Crimp and Curl Hair Salon (US: Perm Shoppe) and Scoops, who came with the Satin Slipper Sweet Shoppe. The latter playset was not sold in the UK. Oddly enough, on a second UK insert, the Crimp and Curl Hair Salon was called the Curl and Twirl Perm Salon. This insert also recorded wrong names for the Sundae Best ponies, however, so perhaps should not be taken as canon :) Either way, both are scanned below :) Take your pick... |
