1986: My Little Pony

HOPSCOTCH

Light blue earth pony with dark purple mane and tail, pink hopscotch grid symbol with purple numbers.

As one of the more conventional Earth Ponies of the early UK set from 1986, Hopscotch saw a much wider issue than some of her set-mates and also appeared in a set alongside Truly and Shady in Scandinavia, known as "Pony Friends."

She was also sold as part of the French equivalent of the UK set, which included White Tootsie and Lickety Split instead of Gypsy and Honycomb. In French her name was "Marelle". It's impossible to know for sure if this was the set in which she was sold across continental Europe, but it seems likely.

In terms of personality, Hopscotch seems to have been a fairly regular Earth Pony. The only story I really remember with her in was in edition 18 of the pony comic, where she helped to foil some naughty pixies that tried to ruin a picnic.
