PARASOL

Pink earth pony with dark pink, yellow, green and blue mane and tail, pink and blue glittering parasols symbol.

Parasol is a better known Rainbow Pony character. She's special for two reasons - firstly, she, like Sunlight, is one of the first Earth Ponies to ever have glittery symbol. This seems to have been merely a perk of being a Rainbow Pony, because the trait was continued into the second set. Secondly, she had a comic magic trick - which earth ponies only seemed allowed to have within the world of the UK My Little Pony comic. Parasol's magic was, logically, related to umbrellas and parasols. Oddly and amusingly, it was her HAIR that gave her the magic power to 'stay cool in the summer heat' - and this was usually translated as a magic ability to make parasols appear by shaking her mane. (They would generally appear IN her mane, so she probably had a lot of bad hair days!)

It's little wonder, then, that Parasol is perhaps the most commonly found Rainbow Pony from the first year!

PARASOL BODY TONE VARIATIONS

There are at least two distinct shades of body for Parasol - and they can only be described as strawberry yogurt or raspberry yogurt coloured. The likelihood is that it is related to the batch of plastic, and it has no effect on the pony's resultant value.
