STARSHINE

The first thing that needs to be said is that Starshine is a white pony. My Starshine, unfortunately, has suffered the fate OFTEN suffered by this pony, and has gone a horrible snotty beige colour over time -but she began life as a white pony and truly mint Starshines are white.

That out of the way, Starshine was one of two pegasus Rainbow Ponies this year. The Fact File calls her an adventurer - a pony who loved to visit new and far away places. I have a vague recollection of that interpretation in the stories, too...though it is very vague and was a long time ago.

In the German Rainbow Pony edition from 1987ish, there was a pony who was based on Starshine. Sternenglanz (literally translated as Starshine) had the same body colour and symbol as well as the name, but her hair was a different colour. Unlike this Starshine, who was sold globally, Sternenglanz's release was limited to German speaking countries.
