1983:Unicorn and Pegasus Ponies

Oh, how I hated Sunbeam when I was a kid!
Whilst all the other ponies from the set had some magical or special properties, Sunbeam's chief characteristic seemed to be the ability to throw a good birthday party - as often as possible!

Like Twilight, she was only ever sold as a part of this set, and only in North America. Europe is still unconfirmed for the Hong Kong edition, but I know she was never sold in the UK. She's perhaps the only one of her set that I don't feel regret for us missing out on - but as a pony she is quite pretty to look at.

Oddly, though she and Twilight were both only released for one year, it seems to be easier to find Sunbeam than it does Twilight - proving that it isn't always pink ponies the kids go for!
