1985: Baby Sea Ponies

Surf Rider was one of the quieter of the original set of Baby Sea Ponies when it came to the UK comics. She came with the fish design float in purple and blue, and she was the only baby sea pony to come with this float.

My Surf Riders' hair is not as vividly pink as it maybe could be - if you look at the mip picture to the right you can see how pink it should be. But, as is so often the case with this colour, it fades out easily.

Surf Rider had a second edition the following year as one of the Pretty N Pearly Baby Sea Ponies. HOWEVER she was only sold in this form in the North American set. She was not part of the UK release of Pretty N Pearly Baby Sea Ponies. Her float remained the same, though the baby pony now had a pearly sheen to her body.
