Song Lyrics

There are a few sources of song lyrics for WeissKreuz on the net. However, there are also some very very inaccurate lyric listings for the WK songs - some of which are on very well frequented lyric websites but have been incorrectly submitted and left uncorrected.

This is my reason for this section. WK fans deserve to have the correct lyrics for the songs - after all, Japan is the home of Karaoke. What is music without words anyway?

All the song lyrics on this page have been transcribed and transliterated by me from original Weiss lyric sources. These are generally from CD sleeves or concert lyric sheets. The transliterations come from the kanji. Sometimes readings of the kanji is given different furigana, or less common readings (and this I've noticed has caused errors on some of the song lyrics listed on other sites).

I really believe in being accurate. So if for any reason I have doubt about the transcription/transliteration, the song won't appear here. Also, if I don't have the lyrics in Kanji, I won't be adding the song to the site. Japanese generally holds a lot of its meaning in the way it's written after all. Trying to transcribe from sound alone is almost impossible to do correctly (as some of the lyrics already available online are testament to, sadly!). Any romaji/English words included in the kanji are written that way in the original lyrics. I have not attempted to katakana-ise English titles, either. Nor have I translated Japanese titles into English.

If anyone has any corrections, also, please get in touch. I'm studying Japanese, but I'm not claiming to be perfect and I do want this site to be accurate. So I will welcome any wiser brains than mine who have contributions to make.

Quartet Songs: Page Four of Four
The songs on this page are all group songs by Weiss. They each appear on the final Weiss album release Tagesanbruch although a couple of them had slightly different Gluehen Drama CD outings as well :)
All titles have been romanised however those which have all or part kanji titles have been given their correct titles also (e.g Interstellar Soul and Kitto Wasurenai).
The quote at the top of the page comes from "Tonight" one of my favourite group Weiss songs :)

# Although the lyrics say "wakaranai" it sounds like Seki is singing "wakanai"
~Although the lyrics say 'iku' Koyasu sings 'yuku' since 行く(to go) can be written and pronounced iku or yuku.
*although the lyrics say "mishirame" (unknown), it *really* sounds like Miki is singing "mishiraru" (which I can't find a meaning for...seriously, he badly needs to enunciate better!)
Though the kanji used  for stillness (静寂) can be read "seijaku" it is given the reading shijima in furigana.
