1984: Baby Ponies Year 3

BABY MOONDANCER

White baby unicorn with pink mane and tail (lavender streak in the mane), GLITTERING magenta moon and stars symbol

Baby Moondancer was one of the first Baby Unicorn ponies to be made as part of the pony line. She was omitted completely from the UK release. She was, however, featured in the comics. Perhaps, however, she is better known for her starring role in the second television special, "Escape From Catrina", where she is kidnapped by a mad, potion crazed kitty.

Baby Moondancer, like Baby Glory, has some significant differences in appearance to her 'mother' pony. Instead of the classic dark red hair, she has pink, with a lavender streak. Her moon and stars are also all magenta instead of having a silver moon.

BABY MOONDREAMER
(Pearlized, Mail Order, USA)

BABY MOONDANCER MOC
(Painted symbol. Continental Europe)

BabyMoondancer had a re-vamp and a re-issue via Mail Order in the early nineties in North America. Now "pearlised", she had magenta hair without a streak, and a purple moon with pink stars as her symbol. She had also changed her name - now she was Baby Moondreamer!

She was also sold in Continental Europe (but NOT the UK) on card with just a bottle accessory. This Baby Glory had a PAINTED symbol, and not a glittering one like the pony in the North American release. (See picture). Thanks to whoever donated me the Baby Moondancer moc picture - I can't find who did!!
