1984: Adult Sea Ponies *UK Edition*

SURFDANCER

Blue adult sea p0ny with yellow mane. Pink Clam Shell stand.

Surfdancer was one of the three Adult Sea Ponies sold in the UK release, and though she bears a distinct resemblance to the North American "Seawinkle", she is different enough (blond!) to merit her own identity. Despite the obvious body-snatching explanation for the likeness, the blue-and-yellow combination was never used for a North American adult sea pony, making Surfdancer unique in one way at least.

Surfdancer played a role in the pony comics and stories in the UK. Most significantly, I remember her being the star of one of the mini-world books, where she helped a mermaid (possibly Miranda, since Miranda the mermaid was a frequent, if not toy-based comic associate of the sea ponies).

Surfdancer was sold with a pink clam shell, which was also sold with Seawinkle in the North American release.
