Backstroke was the best swimmer of all the baby sea ponies. Often she would give her friends lessons, though none were ever quite as good at swimming as she was. (You have to wonder why, if this was the case, she still needed her float!)

Backstroke was never re-issued as part of any Pretty n Pearly baby sea pony set and was only ever sold in the first edition of baby sea ponies. However, she was sold worldwide.
