Like the other members of her set, Sunset was a Bedtime Newborn typified by her bold, solid colours and simple symbols. The colour of her symbol and hair matched the newborn size bottle she was sold with, which was her only accessory.

Sunset never featured in the UK Pony comic and was never sold in North America.
