Just to complicate the already complicated world of baby ponies with or without fluttering eyelashes, Baby Heart Throb has more than just two simple editions. Since this is a United Kingdom based (and biased) website, the picture shown above is that of the version sold over here - it's not quite clear to me whether she was sold at all in continental Europe, though I am under the impression that she was in some countries. Possibly she was sold alongside the versions below - I am not sure. Any information on that would be gratefully received. All I can say for absolute certain is that the Baby Heart Throb sold in the United Kingdom did not have winged hearts for a symbol - instead her symbol matched the adult SO SOFT version's symbol and not the original Pegasus Heart Throb. I guess, since neither were sold here, Hasbro didn't really think it mattered what symbol our baby pony had.

In some other countries in Europe - France and Germany for certain - Baby Heart Throb was sold with WINGED hearts to match the origina pegasus pony's symbol. Since Italian and normal versions of Heart Throb were sold in these countries (so I am told), this does make good sense. But all of the illustrations in the UK SHOWING Baby Heart Throb showed her with winged hearts. To start with, when first I found my Baby Heart Throb at the local car boot sale, I wasn't entirely sure WHO she was. (And, considering all this, can you blame me??)

People get very confused as to which version was sold where, because of the mangled artwork. It's also fair to say that Baby Heart Throb isn't common in the UK or in other countries - but that the one with winged hearts is probably seen less often on Ebay because there are less sellers selling ponies from those countries.

Finally, of course, there is the Beddy Bye Eye baby. She was sold in North America and some parts of Europe and Australasia (I know that the Netherlands at least had her, and I'm pretty sure about Australia, too). She was the baby pony cast in Bright Lights as one of the empty headed youngsters who got her shadow stolen by Knightshade, Ponyland's answer to glam rock.
