1986: Flutter Ponies

FORGET-ME-NOT

Purple flutter pony with white mane and tail, small purple and yellow flowers symbol, irridescent wings (often missing).

Forget-Me-Not is rather an unfortunate name for the pony who, without question, was the one most easy TO forget when it came to the comics. I'm sure she was there - I just can't bring to mind any story in which she played a major role. The same goes for the cartoon. Aside from the End of Flutter Valley, where all the original six Flutters got speaking parts, she really didn't make a big impact as a character. Which is a little sad, because I think she's quite pretty.

Please note that - as with Honeysuckle - there are at least 2 versions of Forget-Me-Not. Mine, pictured above has second style wing attachments and very curly hair. There is a version with first style attachments, straight and silky hair and a slightly paler body tone. I have pictured them this way around because my later one has the wings (xD) but the one below was probably the first version to be released.

Like with all the Flutter Ponies, Forget-Me-Not had a rough"poem" for a backcard story, which was also printed up in the Fact File. They give the vaguest hint to the pony's intended character, and her's was as follows:

"Flutter Ponies will bring good luck,
And lots of good times too,
If you have a special wish,
Forget-me-not will make it come true
."
