The Sunbright Family were the 'tropical' family from the line, featuring in one television episode with Bright Eyes from the Seven Characters set. Bright Eyes was visiting the Tropical Isle on an exchange trip, where she learnt about how different cultures might live. (The island bore a startling resemblance to a ponyish Hawaii, actually!).

Oddly enough in the cartoon episode, there is a pony called 'Moki' who does not in fact exist in the pony line. I think she also had a brother who was not made - and that Baby Sunbright features as simply the baby of the family.

SUNBRIGHT FAMILY IN THE UK PONY COMIC

In the Pony Comic, the Sunbright Family also lived on the Tropical Isle, although there was no 'pony exchange' where they were concerned! The symbols for this set were pretty faithful, although their hair was a little bit simplified from the actual production design.

Two of the ponies from the 1995 Dutch line - Schelp-Pony and Dolfijn-Baby -were based loosely on Mummy and Baby Sunbright respectively.

As can be seen from the pictures below, the ponies were sold on seperate cards and though their accessories did follow a theme, they were by no means identical. For example, Baby Sunbright's ribbon is lurid orange and her mother's is dark magenta, while Daddy Sunbright has an orange fish comb and a green ribbon.
