The mystical, nomadic Twilight, who appeared and disappeared in a cloud of mist was not a frequent character in the UK comics, but a memorable one all the same. Based, one can only guess, on the characterisation from the original pony special, "Rescue at Midnight Castle", Twilight only mingled with the rest of Ponyland when there was a crisis, and preferred to keep herself to herself.

As a pony, she is possibly the hardest of this set to find. My sister was not forthcoming with her Twilight when I was doing this page, so I'd like to thank Mavrica for the loan of the pony picture! As with many of her set, the symbols easily wear and fade, and it is hard to find a Twilight in good condition. There also seems to be a distinctive body tone variation - my Twilight (as pictured below) is decidedly paler than the usual edition, and is in fact closer to the Italian version in shade. However, she is made in Hong Kong.

Twilight was only sold as part of this set and only in North America. I am not convinced as to whether she was sold in Europe or not, but I know she was never sold in the UK.
