1989: Candy Cane Ponies

SUGAR SWEET

Pink unicorn pony with aqua and cream ringlets, aqua candyfloss in a cone symbol. Scented.

Before I say anything else, I must make it clear that my Sugar Sweet (as pictured above) and the mint in package Sugar Sweet shown to the top right of the page are blatantly not in the same design of packaging, as their accessories are in different places. Please note that Aike's picture is correct for the UK release - my mint in package Sugar Sweet is from the North American release and so has a different box design and layout. (You will also notice, however, that the accessories remain the same between each issue!)

Sugar Sweet's personality in the comics was quite cute - she would use her special magic to make clouds turn into candyfloss so that her friends could munch away on something sweet :) She also had the honour of using one of the oldest unicorn poses - being one of the last ponies (if not the last) to ever use this mould.
