1989: Windy Wing Ponies

SUN GLIDER

Raspberry pink 'winger' with aqua mane and tail, yellow sun and clouds symbol. Pink, purple and yellow butterfly wings.

Sun Glider has the unenviable honour of being confused with Flurry in the 1990 My Little Pony annual, in which the set were formally presented. However, even despite this mixup, it is fairly clear what kind of a pony she was meant to be.

As her name suggests, she was never happier than when the day was sunny and bright. She would often fly across the sky, playing hide and seek with the other Windy Wing Ponies (and usually winning). Sometimes 'Mr Sun' would help her cheat by highlighting her friend's wings with his rays...geez, for a floating stellar orb, that sun really did get around!
