The comics in Germany were somewhat like the UK
format, in that they included adverts, stories, letters and
competitions. The stories were mostly stories that appeared in
the UK comics as well (maybe all of them were, at present I am
not certain although many look familiar).
The German comics also had absolutely beautiful advertisments,
which I have taken time to include some of below. There are
other comics with different adverts from 1988 - I have none of
these comics but would love scans if anyone has them to share.
All the issues I have are from 1987.
Below are a handful of comic advert examples
from the German run in 1987. Some can be enlarged by clicking
on them. Others can't - my comics are not accessible at
present and so I am unable to take better photos of these
adverts at present.

I have a few stories in the comics I own but
unfortunately most of the photos came out badly because of poor
spring lighting. The above is one that came out not too badly,
and comes from one of the 1987 comics. It features Buttons,
North Star and a few other ponies. I actually don't remember
this story in English in one of my UK comics, although it may
well be there and I might have missed it. Folder is zipped with
three page files included. Story is in German, and pony names
have been translated throughout.

Unlike the German comics, the Finnish comics I own does not have adverts, letter pages or anything like that. They are simply a compendium of translated stories (with an occasional activity page), and my understanding is that several of these were printed. Many of the Finnish names for ponies come from sources like this, as most ponies in Finland were sold in English packaging and with English names. The comic pictured above comes from 1993, although the ponies featured on the cover and inside are from earlier years. The cover above was also seen on a UK comic in around 1991. The other comic I own comes from 1992, and again features ponies from earlier on the cover.
