1988: Magic Message Ponies

Magic Hat, quite unoriginally, was something of a ponyland magician when she appeared in the My Little Pony comic.One comic adventure saw her helping the way-too-often-used Baby Lucky to protect the Princess Ponies' jewel casket, during which she used various special magical abilities relating to her symbols. At one point she makes a bird appear to peck the evil goblins (she's so friendly, isn't she?) and it seems to have been a theme with her that she was able to bring both her symbol characters to life to do her -often odd- bidding.

Magic Hat was sold worldwide and kept the same name everywhere.
