Not much is known about Minty's original flat foot release in
the United Kingdom. It was probably by import in late 1983, but
there is not much of a paper trail relating to this set. What
does seem to be for sure is that this version was sold more
widely in the UK, based on the fact it is easier to find Minty
with flat feet than with concave.
Minty was an obscure pony in the UK, to the point that when the Fact File came out in 1987, she was depicted in the wrong colour - purple instead of green!
Minty's name went on to be widely used in Generation Three, and
has also made an appearance in Generation Four, although the
latter bears more resemblance to her G3 predecessor than her G4
one. Ironically G3 Minty has more of a known character than the
original Minty, whose release here remains somewhat a mystery.
