Baby Applejack was sold in the UK in 1985, as part of a set
which Hasbro called "Play and Care Set" babies. This set
featured three earth pony babies based on existing adults
already on sale in the United Kingdom. Baby Applejack was the
only one of the three who did not see a release in North
America, although she was sold in parts of Europe (sometimes
later than 1985).
Although she featured on the 1985 insert, the style of artwork
that featured on Baby Applejack's box was similar to that used
on the packaging for the Rainbow Ponies and first set of Play and Care Baby
Ponies, suggesting she might have been an early 1985
release. These were the first proper baby pony set in the UK,
and they were all sold with several accessories to help their
new 'mother' take care of them.

While mother Applejack was known to be a bit clumsy, Baby
Applejack was an exciteable, fun-loving little filly, who
enjoyed having her hair styled. She liked playing with the other
baby ponies, too, and often featured with them in the pony
comics (including baby ponies not sold in the UK).
