Baby Cotton Candy was sold in the UK in 1985, as part of a set
which Hasbro called "Play and Care Set" babies. This set
featured three earth pony babies based on existing adults
already on sale in the United Kingdom. Baby Cotton Candy was
also sold as part of the set in North America, featuring six
baby ponies. The name "Play and Care Set" was not used here, but
the accessories between releases were the same.
Although she featured on the 1985 insert, the style of artwork
that featured on Baby Cotton Candy's box was similar to that
used on the packaging for the Rainbow Ponies and first set of Play and Care Baby
Ponies, suggesting she might have been a late 1984/early
1985 release.
These were the first proper baby pony set in the UK, and they
were all sold with several accessories to help their new
'mother' take care of them.

Mother Cotton Candy spent a lot of her time eating flowers,
whilst Baby Cotton Candy spent more time with the other baby
ponies. She loved to play hide and seek with her friends, and
taking naps in the nursery - or waking up her friends when they
were trying to nap!

She appeared in Escape from Catrina, as one of Baby
Glory's friends determined not to take a nap.
