High Tide


High Tide was sold as part of the second full set of Adult Sea Ponies in North America, but was never sold in the UK, nor was she ever promoted in any UK merchandise. She appeared in the Escape from Catrina special.

High Tide had the new pose for the year, with her head tilted up, and an old style clam shell stand, in lavender. which is especially difficult to find. She was also sold with a brush, comb, ribbon and puffy sticker. She was never re-issued after 1985 and is one of the more difficult early ponies to find from the North American line.

High Tide is sometimes confused with the UK early Sea Pony Seaspray, because both are yellow with pink hair. They are not the same pony, however - they are in different poses, and High Tide has fading pink hair, whereas Seaspray's is darker. Seaspray also has blue eyes, whereas High Tide's are lavender.
