If you are one of those collectors who has serious issues telling apart poses, then this is the nightmare set for you. Milkweed and Tumbleweed were one of two identical twin sets sold in 1987 -though they were never sold in the UK.

They were also popularised via the cartoon series, being one of two newborn twin sets who featured in episodes "The Ice Cream Wars" and "The Prince and the Pony". In both cases they were impish, gurgling babies with a penchant for getting into trouble - but a severely limited vocabulary!

There is no Hasbro-given rule to telling these twins apart. There is no firm canon way of knowing who is Milkweed and who is Tumbleweed. But, based on the other twin sets that use these poses and how their naming generally works, collectors as a rule name them as above. Milkweed has the slightly smaller head mould, with her head turned and her feet stretched out as if she is about to walk. Tumbleweed has all of her hooves on the ground and her (slightly larger) head is facing forwards. The reason I include this on the page - despite it not being official - is that, if you only have one twin and you're looking for the other, it makes working out a trade a whole lot more simple!

Milkweed and Tumbleweed both share that pale pink fading hair that often discolours to white. There was no variation on this set - all white haired Milkweeds or Tumbleweeds have faded from the original pink.
