Sniffles and Snookums were one of the only two twin sets sold this year in the UK - and of course, they had a pretty global release. They were introduced in the My Little Pony comic in a story with Baby Lucky and they came from drawings that, with help from his Happy Go Lucky magic, came to life. It's worth noting that - although given as a GIRL in all North American pony information, Sniffles was always intended as a BOY in the UK. His name - according to the comic - came about because of his mischievous twin sister, who would twirl her unicorn horn and make a tiny breeze - just enough to make her brother sneeze!

Their fame, however, was not limited to the UK factfile and comic. They also played a part in the animated television series - although neither one was ever animated with a unicorn horn.

There appears to have been some indecision over the names given to these two ponies when they were first released. There exists a sticker which has a name variation on it - though I don't have a scan of that sticker to hand - which suggests that originally the twinset might have had different identities in the UK from their North American release.

I do not know if there exists a sticker with their correct names on.

Sniffles' hair should be a vibrant pale pink but often fades -as my loose pony has somewhat above. White-haired Sniffleses are not variations, but simply victims of sundamage!
