Holiday featuring Good Weather

The Holiday set was an extension of the themed sets from the year(s) before, and can be considered as part of a wider set with Prize Day and Picnic Day (in fact, Hasbro UK re-released Sweet Clover at the same time Good Weather was on shelves). As with the other sets, Holiday came with one pony and a wide assortment of small accessories on a particular theme (in this case, obviously, holiday/beach themed items).

Good Weather was first depicted on the 1992 insert as being in the Gingerbread pose, but she was actually sold in the Crumpet pose, as shown above.

Good Weather's Character

Good Weather was either a climate change nightmare or an environmentalist's greatest dream. Both her box story and her comic appearances related to her taking good weather wherever she travelled, although the box indicates that changing weather is within her power. In the comic, she would generally just show up and the weather would get bright and sunny. The box story also suggests that her name was not originally Good Weather, and that she was known as the "Holiday Pony", but Good Weather became her nickname/name because of her trait. Good Weather was highly nomadic, and travelled in and out of places without really seeming to have roots.
