Sparkling Secret


Sparkling Secret was one of the Secret Surprise Ponies sold in North America in 1991 and the UK and Europe in 1992-3. In North America she was called Secret Star. She had a cape which could be opened by use of a key in the brooch on her front. Her original key is shown in the picture above.

She also came with a comb and a ribbon, and a 'gift' which in her case was a bracelet - those with star patterned capes and stars in their eyes came with bracelet accessories.

Because the Secret Surprise ribbons were hidden inside the compartment when the pony was new in box, it is very hard to identify what colour ribbon came with each pony. Sparkling Secret's ribbon colour is currently unknown/unproven.


Sparkling Secret's Character

Sparking Secret did appear in the comics in 1992 and maybe into the early part of 1993. In the UK and in Europe, she also had an individual backcard story, though I do not own her box and don't have her story to hand.
