Blossom in the United Kingdom

Concave Hoof Blossom was one of the more well known early characters in the My Little Pony comics and stories here in the United Kingdom. She saw a release in 1984 as part of the Earth Pony set this year, along with Cotton Candy and four brand new characters. She appeared in the early comics, and continued to be available in stores into 1985, although she was not officially included in the 1985 line on Hasbro's list. She was illustrated on the 1985 insert as a model for My Little Pony wear, and appeared on Ponywear packaging as well.

I have a better one in my collection than the one pictured, and will upgrade the image as soon as I can find her...;)

Blossom and her set retailed at between £3 and £3.50.

Blossom's Character

Blossom had one of the more distinctive characters in the early UK stories, although these attributes all applied to the concave foot version definitively available by 1984. She was an ardent gardener who took good care of her garden - when not chasing her hungry friend Cotton Candy out of it! Although she was a very early release pony in the UK, she was still trying to keep Cotton Candy out of her garden in 1989, as this comic story demonstrates!
