Baby Hopsi (Baby Hopscotch)

Baby Hopsi was sold in German speaking countries in around 1988. She was designed after the adult pony Hopscotch, who was widely sold in Europe in 1986 and in parts in 1987, so her selection makes sense. She bears very similar features to her mother pony as well. One point of note, however, is that her name is Hopsi, rather than Hopser, which is the name used for Hopscotch in the 1986 German release. It is unclear why this was changed.

Baby Hopsi's Character

German is not my strongest language skill, and this scan is a bit blurry, but this is Baby Hopsi's backcard story:

I think the gist is that Baby Hopsi likes to hop and jump and play hopscotch, which is her favourite game. She usually wins their contests but is always happy to help her friends. That's just my approximation, however, it sounds a lot like Hopscotch's backcard story, keeping the theme of baby and adult having very similar tales/concepts.
