Skydancer was one of six small butterfly ponies introduced as
part of the Summer Wing set in 1988. Although the size of a baby
pony, she is actually meant to be an adult, just built on a
miniature scale. Unlike the flutter ponies, Summer Wing ponies
had static wings, which were made of one piece of plastic held
down by a square stopper in the middle of the back.
Skydancer was sold in the UK and in North America in the same
style of box. Italy was an outlier, as the box there was blue.
In other places it seems to have been yellow. The box below is
American, because of the hole punch at the top, but the basic
style is very much like that released in North America. The pony
pictured below has a UK style box but her price tag is not in
£/p, making me think she was an export (possibly Australia or
New Zealand, but I am not sure).

Summer Wing Ponies came with metallic ribbons and flower picks,
like the Flutter Ponies, but the centres of the flower pick
flowers were not coloured.
