Speedy was sold in both the UK and parts of Europe, but this
was one of the rare occasions where the version sold in the UK
aligned with the North American release and not with that on the
continent.
The continental European release of this set seems to have
happened in 1988, rather than 1987, like the UK and North
America. The 1988 cards had coloured borders, and a new font on
the rainbow, which is easy to spot quickly by checking the tail
of the Y. This delay by a year seems to have impacted production
of Speedy enough to make her appear in a paler shade. This paler
version was not sold in the UK at all, but was available in
France as well as German speaking countries.
